What does rehost mean?
In cloud infrastructure, rehost means moving existing software to a new hosting environment. At Rehost, we use the word more plainly: moving the work of your app, website, and customer data out of your staff's hands and into one team that builds, hosts, updates, and operates it.
Is Rehost a cloud migration company?
No. We are not an AWS, Azure, IBM, or mainframe migration shop. We build and operate custom apps, websites, and customer systems for organizations that do not want their staff running software dashboards.
Why is the company called Rehost?
Because the word already points in the right direction: host again, but better this time. Most teams were handed a template, an app builder, or a rented platform. We replace that with one operated system and one team responsible for it.
Do I own what Rehost builds?
You retain the content and customer data you provide. Rehost owns its service software, code, and designs unless the signed agreement states otherwise. That agreement identifies domains, developer accounts, code licenses, exports, handoff, notice, and service-end terms.
How is Rehost different from Wix, Squarespace, or a local agency?
Wix and Squarespace give you a builder to manage. Agencies usually hand over a project and then quote the next change. Rehost builds the system and keeps operating it after launch, so your team sends a message instead of learning another dashboard.
